The agitation launched by the Nagaland Government Teachers’ Association (NGTA) entered its second day with a significantly larger turnout of members, reflecting growing unity and participation among the teachers.
The protest remained peaceful throughout the day, with no untoward incidents reported. Members continued their demonstration in an orderly and disciplined manner, reaffirming their demands.
The NGTA stated that it is currently awaiting a positive response from the Government. NGTA leaders expressed hope that the authorities would respond promptly and address their concerns amicably.
However, the association cautioned that if no response is received, the agitation will be intensified. It was further informed that the protest will resume on Monday should there be no concrete assurance from the Government.
