The funeral service of Late Er. Ghukhui Zhimomi, Member of NSSB was held at his residence, Diphupar B Relkameno on March 2, informed DIPR. Speaking at the funeral service, Sedevikho Khro, Chairman, NSSB in his condolence message expressed his deepest sympathy to the family on sudden demise of Er. Ghukhui Zhimomi on February 29.
In his message, Khro highlighted that when Nagaland Staff Selection Board was established in the year 2020, there was a need for a suitable person during the formative period of NSSB in order to ensure effective, transparent and meritocracy based system of recruitment to set in motion. Zhimomi was then appointed as one of the founding Members of NSSB on 14 February 2021 and took charge of the office on February 18, 2021.

In addition, Zhimomi was instrumental in the stupendous and successful conduct of the first ever examination of NSSB in the year 2022 which was also the largest examination ever conducted in the State of Nagaland with more than 50,000 candidates in 11 (eleven) Districts and 111 examination centres in the state. Late Ghukhui Zhimomi had been involved in the formulation and functioning of the NSSB till his last breath. “He stood for the right way to do things, took responsibility, and supported his official through thick and thin,” stated Khro.
Furthermore, the Chairman NSSB highlighted that Er. Ghukhui Zhimomi had a lifelong career as Engineer in the erstwhile Irrigation and Flood Control Department and took voluntary retirement in order to take active part in the public service on 19th December 2011. “With the passing away of our dear and esteemed member on 29th February 2024 NSSB has lost a brother, friend, guide and a pillar of strength,” he lamented.
In conclusion, Sedevikho Khro conveyed his deepest sympathy to the bereaved family members during the time of grief and pain, stated the DIPR.
