Leo Club’s Inter-School Table Tennis tourney concludes

The Leo Club of Dimapur organized the 36th Inter-School Table Tennis Tournament and the 30th Inter-School Slogan Competition at the Lions Club Hall, Midland, Dimapur on September 27 and 28.

In the Table Tennis Competition, Shreyansh Sethi of Delhi Public School lifted the Men’s single trophy by defeating Sambhav Jain of Delhi Public school. In doubles, Nighaka and Benlir Zamir of Holy Cross Higher Secondary School defeated Yongmeth and Kevisekho of Holy Cross Higher Secondary School to lift the Doubles trophy.

The Girl’s single trophy was lifted by Elite A Sangtam of Little Star Higher Secondary School, who defeated Vinika of Little Star Higher Secondary School. In the doubles category, Vinika and Grace of Little Star Higher Secondary School lifted the trophy by defeating Elita and Avidika of Little Star Higher Secondary School.

The tournament and competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from schools across Dimapur. A total of 78 students from 9 schools showcased their talent in the Table Tennis Tournament, while the Slogan Competition received an overwhelming response with 500+ entries on the theme “Future Without Fear: Say No to War.”

The opening ceremony was graced by Lion Neena Dutta, VDG I, as the Chief Guest, along with Lion Sanjay Jaiswal, President of Lions Club of Dimapur. The closing ceremony was honored by the presence of Lion Mahesh Agarwal, MJF, Councillor of DMC, as Guest of Honour, whose encouragement greatly motivated the young participants.

The Slogan Competition was judged by Dilip Sharma, who appreciated the creativity and depth of thought expressed by the students.

The event was sponsored by the Lions Club of Dimapur and held under the leadership of Leo Vishal Pareek, President of Leo Club of Dimapur, with dedicated guidance from Leo Happy Jain, Chairperson, and Leo Akash Minda, Co-Chairperson.
