The Christian Education Ministry of Marepkong Baptist Arogo successfully organized a two-day Life Skill Development Program for children on October 1 and 2, 2025.
The program was designed for children aged between 9 and 15 years with the primary aim of equipping them with practical skills to prepare them for the future.
According to the organizers, the objectives of the training included addressing issues of unemployment and limited job opportunities, helping children earn pocket money and reduce over-dependence on parents, promoting self-reliance and independence at an early age, encouraging self-employment through creative skills, and building awareness on the importance of life skills for personal and professional growth.

During the sessions, participants received hands-on training in accessories making, crochet, wooden artifacts, and sewing. The program was headed by the Christian Education Director, Imnaienla, with instructors drawn from Christian educators along with two church members.
A total of 82 children took part In the workshop, guided and supervised by 15 teachers throughout the two days.
The initiative was described as successful, with participants not only gaining new skills but also developing confidence and creativity that would contribute to their growth towards independence.
