Lions Club of Dimapur conducts Hunger Free India campaign

Lions Club of Dimapur undertook the Lions International Initiative-Hunger Free India Campaign from January 3 to 11 with a series of impactful service activities aimed at eradicating hunger and promoting compassion in society.

The Hunger Free Week was launched on January 3 under the presidentship of Lion Sanjay Jaiswal by providing dinner to the needy outside the Dimapur Gurudwara, with the support of the Gurudwara management.

On January 4, the Club distributed 50 Dry Ration Kits to needy beneficiaries in and around Dimapur and on January 5, served dinner to the needy outside Dimapur Railway Station, with the support of Gurudwara Langar Service. On January 6, it provided dinner provided to the needy outside the Gurudwara.

On January 7, an awareness campaign was conducted on “Food Waste to Food Plate”, emphasizing responsible food usage and distribution, while on January 8 and 9, dinners were served to the needy outside the Gurudwara and Dimapur Railway Station respectively.

On January 10, as part of the Hospital and Patient Care Initiative, the Lions Club of Dimapur distributed fruit packets to all patients and nursing staff at Dimapur District Hospital, spreading care, nourishment, and goodwill.

The campaign concluded on January 11 with food distribution for roadside animals, reinforcing compassion for all living beings.

All these service activities were conducted under chairmanship of Lion Amit Jain and Lion Rahul Jain, with the dedicated efforts of Lions members and generous supporters.

The Lions Club of Dimapur said it is committed to serving humanity and making a meaningful difference through selfless service.
