Livingstone Foundation International College hosts Finthusia

The Department of Commerce, Livingstone Foundation International (LFI) College organized its inaugural intercollegiate event, Finthusia themed ‘Leveraging Ways for Financial Enthusiasm’ on March 9.

The event aimed to ignite a passion for finance among college students and provide them with valuable insights into the world of finance, informed a press release issued by the College. The event was graced by Dr. Yan Murry, Chief Executive of Pinnacle Skills, and his colleague Sahana Khan as esteemed guest speakers, who delivered an inspiring keynote address, sharing invaluable wisdom and insights with the attendees.

Additionally, Anirban Mukherjee, representing Emporium training & consultancy Pvt Ltd, served as a guest counsellor, offering one-on-one counselling sessions for students seeking guidance and advice in their academic and professional pursuits.

The event featured both formal and informal sessions, providing participants with a diverse range of activities and opportunities for engagement. In the informal session, students enjoyed various competitions, including a Talent Show, Spelling Bee competition, Kaun Banega Cashpatti, and E-sports. The event was further enhanced with fun-filled carnival games, fostering a lively and interactive environment for all attendees.

According to the press release, “Finthusia would not have been possible without the generous support of its sponsors: Uniqlobe Enterprise, Nili Motors, Chase Foundation, Zaben Murry Design, and Rajasthan Cycle & Auto Store (RCAS). Their support played a crucial role in ensuring the success and impact of the event, enabling students to engage with industry experts, participate in enriching activities, and gain valuable insights into the world of finance”.

A total of 10 colleges, including two universities, participated in Finthusia, bringing together students from diverse backgrounds and fostering a spirit of camaraderie and friendly competition. The collaborative efforts of these colleges contributed to the event’s success and underscored the importance of promoting financial literacy and enthusiasm among college students. The talent show winner, Thejavor from LFIC BA 4th Semester, enthralled the audience with his exceptional performance. Additionally, Edwina Lungleng from Salesian College Dimapur emerged victorious in the Spelling Bee competition, showcasing her linguistic prowess and intellect. The enthusiasm and engagement displayed by the students highlight the significance of providing platforms for learning and networking in the field of finance.
