Lok Sabha MP Supongmeren Jamir has conveyed his wishes to citizens of Nagaland on Nagaland Statehood day. In a message, Jamir stated, “Today, as we mark 61 years since Nagaland became the 16th state of the Union of India on 1st December 1963, let us acknowledge and honor the untold sacrifices of our pioneering leaders. The road to our statehood was paved with the sweat and tears of a generation, while the journey forward since then has been fuelled with Vision, Courage, and Dedication.”

Jamir acknowledged the forefathers who nurtured the fruits of today and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. He also urged citizens to celebrate the significant milestone by reaffirming commitment towards the growth and development of the State, guided by the age old values of honesty and integrity as espoused by our forefathers.
“I also take this auspicious moment to urge my fellow citizens, especially the youths, to align their dreams and aspirations with the collective story of progress and development, as an individual and for the State. God bless all,” added Jamir.
