In preparation for the 18th Lok Sabha election, 2024 a District level meeting with all political parties was held on Monday at the DC Conference Room, Mokokchung.

Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Mokokchung Thsuvisie Phoji, presided over the meeting. He briefed all members present about the importance of preparing for the upcoming election and requested for enhanced coordination and cooperation between all political parties.

The DC & DEO also stated that the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) will become operational once the election date is announced and hence requested all the political parties to strictly abide by the guidelines for ensuring free and fair election.
