The Naga People’s Front (NPF) officially handed over its ticket for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to Kachui Timothy Zimik, today during the NPF Ticket distribution ceremony held at NPF central office, Kohima. Zimik will be contesting from II-Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency.
Addressing the gathering, Kachui Timothy Zimik expressed his gratitude to the party for imposing their faith in him and awarding the party ricket for the Lok Sabha Polls.

Kachui Timothy Zimik sharing his vision if elected to Lok Sabha said, his first mission is to raise the Indo Naga Political issue in the Parliament forcefully as possible and facilitate the
Naga people in negotiating with the Government of India (GoI) and find a solution for the Naga people.
The NPF candidate also intends to play a positive role in bringing peace and harmony among the five major communities namely, Meitei, Naga, Kuki, Gorkha and Muslim of Manipur state. According to him, it is only through dialogues that can achieve peace and harmony during any conflict and dispute.
“Whereas, peace and harmony is concerned the five major communities in Manipur Meitei, Nagas, Kuki, Nepali and Muslims have to live together and to live together we have to find our ways and means so that there is perfect understanding among the 5 communities. When there is any dispute the only way to bring peace is through dialogue there is no other way for us and I intend to play a very positive role in this regard,” said Zimik.
Zimik also emphasized on the need to bring equality in terms of development and resources in the Hill districts and valley.
“The state of Manipur, the Hill areas are being neglected, marginalized to a large extend and the valley area there are some portions that have been neglected and because of this there is inequality in the Government and I want ensure that every section of the society are equally treated and development takes place on equal footing,” he added.
Further, Kachui Timothy Zimik informed that he has been campaigning prior to his candidature being declared and exuded confidence of winning the II-Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency.
The party rank and files led by its President Apong Pongener extended their support and wished him success.
