Department of Social Welfare, Longleng, Nagaland on Wednesday, organised a cooking and baby show competition, under Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) project, at the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Office Longleng. The contest was organised as part of the ongoing activities with the celebration of Poshan Pakhwada, a DIPR report stated.
Sub Divisional Officer SDO (Civil) Longleng, Trongdipa Tongpi Sangtam, NCS, the special guest, spoke on proper nutrition and emphasized on the importance of organic food which are locally available. He also gave away the prize to the winners of the baby show competition.
Baby Baulung Angh was adjudged first and baby Owlung S. Phom and baby Metmei came second and third respectively.

All the eleven wards under Longleng participated in the cooking competition. Shauli ward came first, Lempong and Nyengching wards came in second and Shayung ward came third.
The judges of the cooking competition were SDO (C), Trongdipa Tongpi Sangtam; Block Programme Manager (BPM) of National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM), P. Hamlen and Area Coordinator NSRLM, Alemla.

CDPO Longleng, Atsole Khalo, delivered the keynote address and presentation while vote of thanks was delivered by Supervisor, L. Shamdok Menlei Phom. The program was chaired by District Co-Ordinator Poshan Abhiyaan, S. Longhong Phom.
