The Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) conducted a coordination meeting on the 5th of August, 2023, at the DPDB Hall in Longleng. The meeting was presided over by Neilezo Tep, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tamlu. The primary agenda of the meeting was to plan and prepare for the upcoming “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign, which is part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative.
The “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign, scheduled to take place from the 9th to the 15th of August, 2023, aims to honor the Martyred Bravehearts of the nation. The campaign will involve various activities at both village and block levels across the district. During the meeting, Dr. Samuel Akho P. Konyak, Extra Assistant Commissioner of Headquarters Longleng, presided over discussions and emphasized the importance of active participation from all Heads of Offices under the Longleng district to ensure the success of the campaign.
In addition to the preparations for the “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign, the DPDB meeting also reviewed the minutes from the previous session. The discussions included the proposal submitted by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Longleng for the upgradation of the Sub-Center in Tangha to a Primary Health Centre (PHC). The departments were also reminded to submit their nominees for the District Awards before the 8th of August, 2023. Progress on the Retro Signage project was presented by the SDO (Civil) of Longleng.

Anuo Longho, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of Longleng, used a PowerPoint presentation to showcase departmental activities during the meeting. The Department of Public Works Department (R&B) was assigned the task of presenting their activities in the subsequent meeting.
The coordination meeting concluded with expressions of gratitude from ADC Neilezo Tep for the active involvement and cooperation of all concerned officials in preparing for the “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign.
