XI Brothers and Nitsyan FC have cruised into the Semifinal at the ongoing Lotha Football Championship 2025 being played at the Public Ground, Wokha.
On 18 January 2025, the first quarterfinal match was played between XI Brothers and Titans XI, where the former, also the two-time consecutive defending champions, humiliated Titans XI 14-0. Hatsabemo scored a record nine goals in the 14th, 20th, 33rd, 39th, 40th, 59th, 75th, 79th, and 80th minutes, Benri Murry scored two goals in the 24th and 85th minutes, and Woshon (34), Mhonthung (65), and Awangpo (78) each scored a goal for XI Brothers.
The second quarterfinal match was played between Nitsyan FC and Friends Club. An exciting match was witnessed before it was halted due to crowd disturbance around the 38th minute. The first half continued with Nitsyan FC scoring a goal from Yiben in the 23rd minute. The second half was spectacular, with Lichonthung of Friends Club equalizing with a goal in the 57th minute. Yet Friends Club could not manage to stop Yiben, leading him to score another two goals in the 77th and 79th minutes, registering a hat-trick in the last match of the day.
