A felicitation programme of Achievers 2024 for meritorious students was hosted by the Lotha Middle Range Public Organization at Baghty Town Hall on 28th May, 2024 with Dr Zuben Kikon, CMO Wokha as the special guest of the event.

In his address, Dr. Zuben Kikon expressed his pleasure at being part of the event and commended the five meritorious achievers for their outstanding accomplishments, noting their immense pride for both the range and the Lotha Community. He encouraged them to maintain determination and zeal in their further studies, emphasising the importance of consistency for continued progress and reminded them not to forget their roots and to embody traits of humility, simplicity, and trustworthiness to progress further.

Dr. Kikon also highlighted on the necessity of unity emphasising that progress begins when individuals work together. He praised the LMRPO for organising the event, bringing everyone together to celebrate the success of the achievers, and called for unity and hard  work for a victorious tomorrow.

N. John Murry, President LMRPO in his welcome address expressed that the students of Lotha Middle Range will draw inspiration from the very performance of the achievers.

He maintained that the LMRPO range has been blessed with many gifts by God, although these blessings frequently goes unnoticed by the people. He also highlighted that the aim of the program was to acknowledge achievers and motivate those with aspirations. Murry also conveyed appreciation for Dr. Zuben, Chief Medical Officer for his steadfast commitment and support towards the advancement of the range.

The felicitation ceremony honoured Mhachilo Yanthan, Top 1 HSLC 2024, Eliyani R Ovung, Top 8 HSLC 2024, Levis Lijano Patton, Top Scorer (English) HSLC, NBSE, Zuyani R Humtsoe, Top Scorer (Lotha) HSLC, NBSE, and Christine Murry, Gold Medalist, MA (English) ICFAI University, Nagaland.

The academic achievers also delivered short speeches, while words of appreciation and encouragement was presented by Remphamo Kikon, Addl. Director (Retd), Agri &Advisor, LMRPO, and M.N Yanthan, Former President & Advisor, LMRPO. Felicitation of successful candidates was then conducted by Zachariah Ezung, V/P LMRPO.

Greetings were delivered by Thechamo Ovung, President, LMRVCCU, Y.James Kikon, Chairman Baghty Town, and Chonbenthung B Mozhui General Secretary of LMRSU, with prayer for the successful candidates offered by E. Thechamo Ezung, Pastor, Baptist Church Suko.

Asang Ngullie, V/P LMRPO, chaired the program, while invocation prayer was offered by Peter Nchumbemo Yanthan, Catechist, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bagthy, and Vote of Thanks by Abemo Lapon, V/P, LMRPO, Mass Prayer by Longshithung Kikon, Deacon Baptist Church (Soku) and Blessing of Luncheon offered by Phyochamo Ezung, Pastor AG Church, Baghty Town.
