Lotha Students’ Union polls: Range bodies back Election Commission, extend support to new team

Dimapur Lotha Students’ Union (DLSU) has expressed its support to the Election Commission of the Lotha Students’ Union for successfully conducting the LSU election for the tenure 2026-2029 in a fair, transparent and democratic manner.

The Union upheld the decisions taken by the Election Commission in accordance with the established election code of conduct and considered the same final and binding.

The DLSU also extended congratulations and support to the newly elected office bearers and assured its full cooperation, coordination and unwavering support in all future endeavours for the greater interest of the Lotha students.

WRSU:

The Wozhuro Range Students’ Union (WRSU) has also commended the Election Commission of the LSU for its diligence and commitment to ensuring a free, fair and transparent electoral process.

It also conveyed support to the newly elected office bearers of the Lotha Students’ Union for the tenure 2026-2029 and also assured them its unstinted cooperation and collaboration in working tirelessly towards the welfare, progress and betterment of the LSU and the community at large.

ERSU:

The Englan Range Students’ Union (ERSU) has also extended support to the decision taken by the Election Commission regarding the LSU election for the tenure 2026-2029 and appreciated the commission’s effort in ensuring a far and transparent process.

It further assured its continue cooperation and commitment towards maintaining unity and smooth functioning of the Lotha Students’ Union.

NRSU:

The Nyiro Range Students’ Union (NRSU) has extended support to the Election Commission in conducting the election for the Lotha Students’ Union, ensuring fairness and transparency in accordance with the Constitution.

The Union, while extending support to the newly elected executives, has stated that it would oppose any attempts at division or discord, advocating instead for the integrity and protection of the LSU.

It further denounced the Extraordinary Emergency Union Assembly scheduled for March 20, as “unconstitutional and unofficial” and advised all units under its purview to refrain from attending.

WCSU:

The Wokha Circle Students’ Union (WCSU) has also endorsed the Election Commission for the successful conduct of the Lotha Students’ Union election stating that the Commission has demonstrated exemplary integrity, impartiality and an unflinching commitment to upholding democratic values, thereby ensuring a process that is free, fair and beyond reproach.

It also extended full, unconditional and resolute support to the newly elected office bearers of the LSU. It further strongly asserted its commitment to uphold and defend the principles of unity, legitimacy and collective responsibility.
