Loyola Hr Sec School Kiphire 51st Sports Week kicked off

Kiphire: DC hopes Loyola School will bear future national and international players.

Kiphire Deputy Commissioner John Tsulise Sangtam inaugurated Loyola Higher Secondary School 51st Sports Week on Wednesday. The special guest, in his speech said, “There is no player without a game and no winner without a race.”

Every player contributes equally to all games and with good participation of the players there are winners, he said. The DC said that winning is good but sincere participation in the games makes the winner’s worth. We learn by coming and playing together, we get discipline ourselves through sports, he added.

Sangtam hoped Loyola School will bear future national and international players.

“I believe there are lots of good potential sportsmen/sportswoman among you and hope that you will go higher in life,” he encouraged the students. He urged the participants to work as a team learn to understand each other in all decisions and planning as these are the little things that build true sportsmen.

Father Phillip Magh, Principal, Loyola Hr Sec School in appreciation extended his gratitude towards DC Tsulise John. He said that the DC is one of the first NCS officers from Kiphire district and an exemplary person. Father Magh also encouraged the students to have confidence to keep working hard in life no matter what the odds were. Eventually success will be assured, he said.

The declaration of Loyola Hr Sec School 51st annual games & sports was unveiled by the special guest.

A tug-of-war match between the parents and teachers entertained the student on the occasion.

The sports week will continue from 21-23 of June.
