The Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) has issued a notice to all private schools in Wokha district to adhere to the mandated pupil-teacher ratios in the next academic session.
In the interest of the student community, the LSU drew attention the directive issued by the Directorate of School Education, Nagaland regarding the implementation of Pupil-Teacher Ratios as specified by the Right to Education Act, 2009.
Starting from the next academic session, all private schools in Nagaland are required to strictly adhere to the following pupil-teacher ratios:
-Primary Level: 30:1
-Upper Primary Level: 35:1
-Secondary and Higher Secondary Levels: 40:1

In light of this directive, the Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) has notified all institutions within Wokha district to strictly comply with the specified ratios. “This initiative aims to ensure personalized attention and a conducive learning environment for our students, ultimately providing quality education.We request you to assess your current enrollment and take proactive steps to facilitate the necessary measures to achieve these ratios. Your cooperation and commitment to this cause are crucial for enhancing the quality of education,” appealed the LSU.
