Made in Nagaland participating at World Food India 2024

New Delhi: Over 90 countries, 26 States/UTs, and 18 Ministries and allied govt bodies participating at World Food event

Made in Nagaland is participating at the third edition of the World Food India 2024 which begins today at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The Made in Nagaland stall offers food products from the State’s local entrepreneurs including honey, tea, coffee, edible oil, grains, candied fruits and much more.

In a post on X, Abu Metha, Chairman, Investments & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) and Adviser to Chief Minister, Nagaland, said that the aim of taking part at the event is “to give opportunities and platforms for our entrepreneurs and producers in order to enable them to reach new markets beyond our borders.”

World Food India 2024 is being organised by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) from 19th to 22nd September and promises to be a major convergence of innovation, technology, and sustainability in the food processing sector. Over 90 countries, 26 Indian States and Union Territories, and 18 Central Ministries and allied government bodies are participating at the event.

World Food India 2024 will host over 40 knowledge sessions, including thematic discussions, state and country-specific conferences. Further, industry-led panel discussions with over 100 CXOs of the global agri-food companies will also be held.

In a statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the World Food India 2024 is a platform for India to work with the world through B2B interactions and exhibitions, Reverse Buyer-Seller meets, and country, state and sector-specific sessions.

The Prime Minister also reaffirmed that India wants its MSMEs to flourish and become an integral part of the global value chain and at the same time, encourage women to become micro entrepreneurs.
