Malaria awareness programme held in Sainik School Punglwa

A Malaria Awareness Programme was organised for over 350 cadets of Sainik School Punglwa, Nagaland on July 23, 2024, informed PRO & Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh.

A medical team from District Hospital Jalukie led by Dr. Hedungkiebe, District Programme Officer, delivered an insightful lecture that highlighted the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures of malaria.

Emphasising the importance of awareness, he provided practical tips on how to avoid mosquito bites and reduce the risk of malaria transmission. Blood samples of 45 random cadets were also collected for malaria test to identify any potential cases of malaria for early intervention.

The event was well-received by the participants, who expressed gratitude for the valuable information and services provided.
