The Mopungchuket Ait Laishir Telungjem (MALT) Mokokchung Unit commemorated its 75th Jubilee on 24th October 2023 at Aongza Ki, Mokokchung, under the theme ‘Watemsen Nükla,’ signifying ‘Future Ready.’
Founded in 1948, MALT Mokokchung’s mission was to support students from Mopungchuket village studying in Mokokchung.

Rev. Dr. A. Tali Ao led the Jubilee prayer supplication, while Aolemla Jamir and Amba Jamir, a Policy & Development Advisor, outlined a vision for the next 25 years leading to the MALT Mokokchung Centenary. S. Wati Ozukum, former treasurer of MALT Mokokchung, delivered an exhortation.
A Jubilee Souvenir book was unveiled during the event. The celebration began with an opening act and a welcome address by Bendangkümzük Aier, President of Mopungchuket Ait Laishir Telungjem Mokokchung. Jubilee greetings were extended by representatives of various organizations.
A significant resolution was adopted during the jubilee, emphasizing the importance of research and documentation to become ‘Future Ready.’ MALT Mokokchung committed to research initiatives across various domains to prepare for the future.
Students, parents, organizations, and unions, including the Asetkong Students’ Union and Sungratsu Students’ Union, along with well-wishers, gathered to celebrate the Jubilee.
