The deceased has been identified as Yilobemo Kikon of Pangti village. According to sources, the incident occurred between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Eyewitnesses, including anglers fishing along the reservoir belt, reported that the canoe suddenly capsized in the middle of the dam. However, the exact cause of the incident could not be immediately ascertained.
