Mangkolemba Baptist Church Youth Ministry and Waromong Baptist Church Youth Ministry (Cadet Club) organized a one-day sports meet under the theme “To glorify God through talents and skills” at Mangkolemba Public Ground in Mokokchun on 29 June 2023.
Rev. Mar Longkumer, the Pastor of MBC in his brief exhortation encouraged the cadets to do everything for the glory of God, emphasizing the message from 1 Corinthians 10:31. The Pastor challenged them to display the beauty of Christ through their actions and conduct, both on and off the field.

Throughout the day various sporting events took place including volleyball, penalty shootout, arm wrestling, and tug of war. The highlight of the day was an exhibition match of volleyball and football between the two churches, creating a sense of friendly competition and camaraderie.
Meren Ozükum, Associate Pastor of Youth at WBC, in his exhortation during the closing ceremony urged the gathering to prioritize God in every aspect of their lives. He emphasized the importance of being a good Christian youth and living according to Christian values in all their endeavours.
The program concluded with a mass-spoken prayer, bringing everyone together in worship and gratitude. Afterwards, a delicious meal was served, providing an opportunity for fellowship and celebration among the participants.
The one-day sports meet allowed the youth from Mangkolemba Baptist Church and Waromong Baptist Church to showcase their talents, enjoy friendly competition, and strengthen their faith in God.
Over 200 cadets, including leaders, participated in the event.
The event began with an opening prayer led by Tia K Walling, Associate Pastor of Youth at MBC.The attendees were captivated by a melodious duet performed by Maojungla and Sentilila.
During the closing program, the Waromong Youth Ministry delivered a beautiful mashup song.
