Manipur Chief Minister, N. Biren Singh convened a meeting today with all Members of Legislative Assembly from both the Ruling and Opposition parties at the CM’s Secretariat in Imphal. The meeting was called to discuss the “current situation in the state particularly focusing on the rescue of the abduction of two innocent youths by Kuki militants”, Singh stated in a post on X platform.
“We condemn such heinous acts and our government is working to secure the safe release of the victims,” he added.
Manipur Congress President Keisham Meghachandra and formed Chief Minister Okram Ibobi were present at the meeting.
Earlier today, a video surfaced where two men, allegedly abducted by Kuki militants, urged the Chief Minister to consider them as his own sons and pled him to fulfil the demands of the abductors.
