Manipur delivered a dominant all-round performance to defeat Mizoram by 72 runs, clinching the title in the 4th NECDC Inter State Friendship Cup Men’s U19 2026 Final at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Dimapur. A composed batting display followed by a disciplined bowling effort ensured a convincing win for Manipur.
After being put in to bat, Manipur posted a competitive total of 233 runs, built on crucial partnerships.
Lucky Thockchom led the charge with a brilliant 72 off 82 balls, anchoring the innings, while Robinson Sougaijam added a patient 62 off 122 balls, providing stability in the middle overs.
For Mizoram, Henry Lallawmzuala was the standout bowler, picking up 4/35 in 9.5 overs, keeping the scoring in check.
Chasing 234, Mizoram struggled to build sustained momentum and were bowled out for 161 runs.
Lalramluahpuia Zote fought valiantly with a well-made 62 off 59 balls, but lacked support from the other end.
