A newly constructed marketing shed under the Rural Development (RD) scheme for the financial year 2023-2024 was inaugurated at Changtongya Village by I. Imnamar Jamir, Block Development Officer (BDO) of RD Block Changtongya, on February 6.

Speaking at the event, Jamir highlighted that while many RD Blocks exist, not all receive such development schemes. He encouraged farmers to utilize the marketing shed effectively for financial gains and expressed hope that it would serve as a vital economic hub for the community. He also acknowledged Imlinungsang, who was in charge of the project, for efficiently utilizing the allocated funds and delivering a structure exceeding expectations.

Changtongya Kosasanger Putu Menden Chairman, Tiasunep, expressed gratitude to the RD Department, the concerned minister, and all involved in bringing the initiative and blessings to the village people.

The program was chaired by Tianenla Lemtur, while Rev. C. Manen and Pastor Rongsen led the prayers.
