St Thomas Church, Phelungre conducted marriage renewal vows on October 25 on the theme “Love fully, Live Fully.” This program was conducted for the first time at STC, Phelungre in view of Golden Jubilee to be celebrated in the month of December 2025. There were 72 people who participated in the programme.

Resource person, Rev Fr Thomas Toretkiu said, “Married life in today’s world can be challenging, but with the right mindset and strategies, couples can build a strong and lasting relationship.”

He strongly acclaimed few key words like the importance of love, communication, reconciliation, team work and supporting in each could lead to wonderful married life.

“Practicing open and honest communication and showing appreciation for each other are essential. To live a married life as a sacrament, couples should recognize the sacred bond between them and nurture it with love, care, and commitment. Regular prayer, attending church services together, and seeking guidance from spiritual leaders can help achieve this,” he said.

With commitment and love, couples can navigate life’s challenges together,” he added.

There were party games for couples with the ethical message.  In the evening a short adoration was conducted by Rev Fr Thomas Toretkiu and Sr Caroline SABS, after which marriage renewal vows were taken. A blessed rosary each was exchanged as a sign of love for each other.
