In view of the forthcoming Republic Day celebration 2026, a mass social work was successfully conducted in Medziphema sub-division on January 23. The mass social work commenced at 6 a.m. onwards under the supervision of the Medziphema Administration.
All government Officers, Institutions, village councils, business establishments, town councillors and the general public extended cooperation by carrying out cleanliness drives in their respective office premises, localities, surrounding areas, markets and residential areas. Special emphasis was given to the collection, segregation and proper disposal of debris and waste materials; the mass social work was a great success with active participation from all.

In view of the forthcoming Republic Day celebration, a mass social work was conducted at the District Headquarter, Peren on January 23 from 9 a.m. onwards. The programme was spearheaded and closely supervised by the District Administration as part of the district-wide preparatory measures for the national event.

Officers and staff from various government departments actively participated in the cleanliness drive, which included removal of dry weeds and litter, and undertaking general sanitation and beautification works in and around their respective office premises and other assigned locations. The initiative aimed at ensuring a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment ahead of the Republic Day celebrations.
The mass social work was also successfully carried out across all offices, schools, and wards under Jalukie Town. In support of the initiative, all business establishments in Jalukie Town remained closed during the social work programme.
