A mass social work will be conducted on 29th November 2023 in view of the upcoming Hornbill Festival. This was decided during a co-ordination meeting held on 24th November 2023 between all head of departments in Medziphema subdivision, both state and central, at the ADC Conference Hall at Medziphema under the chairmanship of ADC Medziphema James Swu, DIPR said.

The Village Council Chairman and Head GB also informed all the villages along National Highway-29 four-lane stretch that social work will be conducted from 6 am onwards. So, the chairmanship requested all government and public to participate in the social work and clean their own office jurisdiction and own village area.

The meeting also deliberated on some of the department land issues/encroaching of government land by the public and measures to combat the land issues faced by the department. ADC Swu reminded the officers to identify the department land and emphasised that every department should have a precise map.
