MCC in effect in Nagaland; CEO convenes meeting with all recognized political parties on 18 March

The Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland has informed that with the announcement of the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force with immediate effect and will be in force till the completion of the Elections. The CEO reminded that the MCC is applicable to all Political Parties and to the Union and State Governments and Union Territory Administrations.

In view of the announcement, the Office of the CEO, Nagaland has convened a meeting with all recognized political parties in the State on 18th March 2024 in the office chamber of the CEO in Kohima.

All political parties have been requested to depute at least two representatives to attend the meeting positively, the Additional Chief Electoral Officer has informed.

The Election Commission today declared that the polls for Nagaland’s lone Parliamentary Constituency will be conducted on 19th April 2024.
