In today’s match at the ongoing MDFA Trophy 2023 in Mokokchung, KSR Team secured their second win with a dominant performance against Lomuden FC, claiming a 6-1 victory. Petevizo Kezieo (J/No. 14) set the tone with an early goal in the 8th minute. Rhitso Mero (J/No.10) contributed two more goals in the 13th and 86th minutes, while Nisede Peseyie (J/No.23) added two goals in the 24th and 49th minute. Yhoto Lohe (J/No. 11) chipped in with another goal in the 32nd minute. Obanglemzung (J/No. 8) managed to score the lone goal for Lomuden FC in the 35th minute.

In the second match of the day, Sports Society Soyim (SSS) triumphed over Zonipang SA with a convincing 4-1 scoreline. Suponglepba (J/No. 8) opened the score for SSS in the 12th minute, and they continued to dominate as Suyimmayang (J/No. 10), Noksangmeren (J/No.7), and Shilususang (J/No. 20) each added one goal in the 35th, 40th, and 90th minutes. Talijungba of Zonipang SA (J/No. 8) contributed their lone goal in the 65th minute.

Looking ahead to Monday’s matches in the MDFA Trophy 2023, defending champions Telongjem FC will face off against 16 United Brothers in the first match, while Legendary will take on the Konyak Students Union Mokokchung (KSUM) in the second match.

The tournament is organised by the Mokokchung District Football Association. 14 teams are playing for the coveted trophy, the finals will be played on 3rd November 2023.
