The Mon District Football Association (MDFA) held its official jersey and sportswear unveiling ceremony on Tuesday at Konyak Union (KU) Hall, Mon, ahead of the team’s participation in the forthcoming Dr. T Ao Trophy 24th Inter-District Football Championship 2025 scheduled to be held in Kohima from August 1.

The unveiling programme began with a prayer led by Rev. H. Moba, Pastor of Konyak Baptist Church, Mon.

The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Mon Wennyei Konyak, additional superintendent of police Mon, KU vice-president, KNSK vice-president, and KSU president.

In their brief speeches, the officials encouraged the players to give their best on the field as proud representatives of Mon district — the most populous district in Nagaland. They extended their best wishes to the players and officials, and reminded them to always remain prayerful, assuring them that their prayers will continually support the team.

The ceremony concluded with a consecratory prayer by Rev. M. Chemyuh, CES, KBBB.
