Day 4 of the ongoing Mokokchung Distruct Football Association  (MDFA) Trophy 2025 witnessed two intense encounters at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung

In the first match of the day, Telongjem FC and Intermingle Club played out a goalless draw, with both sides failing to break the deadlock despite several attempts. The match was played under the standard format of two halves — 35+2 minutes in the first half and 35+3 minutes in the second. Telongjem FC had earlier secured a convincing 3–0 victory over Super Seniors FC in their previous league match.

The second fixture saw Thunderbolt FC taking on Doyang Strikers, Mokokchung. Doyang Strikers displayed dominant form, defeating Thunderbolt FC 4–0. Horam (10) opened the scoring for Doyang in the 8th minute, followed by a goal from defender Toka Achumi (8) in the 52nd minute. Striker Ganghui (15) extended the lead in the 58th minute before Horam (9) sealed the win with his second goal in the 67th minute. Thunderbolt FC had previously registered a 2–0 win over NU Lumami in their first league match.

Intermingle Club, based in Tongdentsuyong Ward, is composed entirely of players who emerged from the Tongdentsuyong Super League (TSL), a local tournament introduced this year under the Sports Sub-Committee of the Tongdentsuyong Youth Association. The TSL, held in two editions since March, was initiated to help young players from the ward gain experience and improve their skills ahead of larger competitions like the MDFA Trophy.

The team for MDFA features mostly first-time players from the ward, with no veterans among them. A few have previously represented Tongdentsuyong in inter-ward tournaments. The age range within the team is diverse, with the oldest player being 31 years old and the youngest, 11-year-old Moasanen Jamir, also the youngest participant in the MDFA Trophy 2025.

The club aims to engage both school-going youths and school dropouts, including daily wage earners, providing them with an opportunity to develop discipline and purpose through sports. By promoting active participation, Intermingle Club hopes to create pathways for its young players to progress into higher-level platforms such as the Nagaland Super League (NSL) or the Dr T Ao Trophy in the future.
