MDT20CF 7th Master Shield Trophy: Team Fuzz, Dynamic Sports Active to meet in final

Mokokchung: The final of the 7th Master Shield Trophy will be played between Team Fuzz and Dynamic Sports Active from 12 pm at Imkongmeren Sports Complex on 17 March.

Team Fuzz and Dynamic Sports Active defeated Skylark CC and Trebuchet CC respectively on day-four of the ongoing 7th Master Shield Trophy at Imkongmeren Sports Complex in Mokokchung on Thursday.

Hosted by Mokokchung District T20 Cricket Federation, the first semi-final match of the day witnessed Skylark winning the toss and electing to bat first against Team Fuzz.

Merenti and Longsasunep of Skylark managed to score 18 and 17 runs each in a low-scoring encounter with the side managing to score just 84 runs in 20 overs, whilst Team Fuzz’s Sanjay and Raja gave immense pressure taking 3 and 2 wickets each.

Team Fuzz, with nothing to lose, ended the match short against its unorganised opponents at just 9.3 overs with Vishal posting 34 runs during the side’s chase of 85 runs.

Although Skylark’s Tohuka and Aloto took a wicket each, it was not enough as Team Fuzz won the match with 5 wickets placing themselves in the final.

Meanwhile, the second semi-final match saw defending champions Trebuchet CC winning the toss and electing to bat first against an experienced Dynamic Sports Active side with Nripen and Menchet posting 34 and 24 runs.

However, DSA’s Bhargav, Rahul Kumar and Andrew had other plans as the trio troubled the offenses in multiple occasions taking 2 wickets each and ending the first inning with 129 runs for 7 wickets.

Dynamic Sports Active’s (DSA) Chaman and Raja Lama were seen impenetrable in the second inning as the duo showcased their exceptional talents posting just short of a half-century at 43 and 40 runs each.

Trebuchet could not do much as Redish. a maestro fly slip, took just one wicket ending their hopes of retaining the title as DSA managed to out-chase their target, winning the match by 5 wickets with Raja Lama being awarded the man of the match.

The finals of the 7th Master Shield Trophy will be played between Team Fuzz and Dynamic Sports Active from 12Pm at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex on 17 March.
