Here are some messages from citizens of Kohima on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2024 –

Easterine Kire (Poet and Author): Every day is Human’s Day. May we learn to respect others and ourselves deeply enough to give humanity and love to one another every day and not just on a particular day.

Kuzholuzo Azo Nienu (Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly): Proverbs 3:15 says “She is more precious than Jewels”.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the strong and incredible women out there. May your day be filled with love, joy and appreciation for everything you do. Continue to celebrate the strength, resilience and courage you possess. May you always continue to keep inspiring everyone around you as stated in the Bible in the book of Proverbs 3:15 – A good woman is more precious than Jewels.

May God almighty bless all the women in this very special occasion.

Neipievinuo Solo (Home maker): I want to encourage the young people to prioritize their physical well-being by staying active and avoiding laziness. I want to also emphasize the importance of making the most of their youth and not squandering it and promote a culture of love and suggest regularly expressing affection to remind loved ones of their importance in one’s life.

Kikru Solo (Florist/ Horticulturist): Every life begins with a woman… Respect and encourage every woman for what she is…. Always keep your face forward with pride and dignity…. Happy International Women’s Day!

Shanavas. C, IAS [Secretary, Agriculture & PD (FOCUS & ELEMENT), GoN]: Heartfelt gratitude and strength to the life givers of this earth. Thousands around may say you can’t do some things, but believe in self and there is nothing impossible. More power to you all!

Dziesetseinuo Liezietsu (Asst. teacher, Northfield School): If bravery, resilience, determination, honesty, and selflessness had a face, it would undoubtedly be a woman. Wishing you strength, courage, and determination as you pursue your dreams and aspirations. May the women of today continue to empower the women of tomorrow, shaping a world of Grace and Dignity.

Cheers to all the Women!!!! We are and always be Special.

Rita Krocha (Writer and Publisher): I think it’s really important that women are financially independent and this can happen only when you invest in the girl child, whether it is through education or giving them equal opportunity to live out their full potential. And so, here’s to the trailblazing women who have paved the way for progress in different fields and areas; Empowered women truly empower more women!

Neilanuo Zumu (Home maker): Let’s raise each other up with positivity and encourage each other to step up. Let us be strong and continue to shine our light brighter with each passing day. Happy and blessed International Women’s Day to all the women God created.

Inakali Sumi (School Teacher): Resiliency is the core of a woman. Being women is acknowledging our innermost beauty, embracing our strengths and weaknesses, fiercely standing for oneself, graciously finding balance at home and society, loving wholeheartedly, enjoying every single breath, and gratefulness to God for creating us just the way we are.

Celebrating ‘Women’s Day’ is an everyday affair yet setting a special day to celebrate the very essence of women is significant. Wishing every women multitude of success in finding your core beauty.  Happy International Women’s Day!

Vitono Haralu (Gugu) – Social Activist: In everything that you do, know who you are in Christ and all things that confuses you, will find its way to you with clarity and confidence, in His time.
