In his keynote address, Alobo Naga spoke passionately on the importance of remaining rooted in one’s traditions amidst modern influences. He urged students to embrace and celebrate their tribal identity with pride rather than conceal it. He further emphasized that traditional elements can be creatively blended with contemporary art forms, encouraging students to showcase their cultural uniqueness on broader platforms. His address was followed by a mesmerizing live musical performance, which became a memorable highlight of the celebration.

Following the inaugural session, a series of literary competitions—including debate, slam poetry, art, and essay writing—were conducted. The programme then transitioned into a vibrant cultural showcase featuring folk fusion songs, traditional dances, cultural fire-making, winnowing demonstrations, traditional attire displays, and a talent show, reflecting the rich diversity of tribal and regional heritage.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Disong Waineikum, MGM Cultural Secretary, and a closing benediction by Nikaho Awomi, MGM EU President.
