On 5th October, 2024, MGM College hosted its much-anticipated Sales Day, themed “Mastery in the Making.” The event served as a platform for students to explore new interests, hone creative skills, and develop entrepreneurial mindsets—essential traits for future leaders, informed Dr.R.K.Behera, Acting Principal.

The event was chaired by Kulungoi Tetseo, Head of the Department (HOD) of Economics, who expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative. Ahikali I. Jakha, HOD of English, opened the program with a heartfelt prayer, setting a positive tone for the day.

Dr. Vili G. Kibami, IQAC Coordinator, delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the significance of craft and creativity in education. He reminded students of their cultural roots, emphasising the resourcefulness of their forefathers, who thrived through their own ingenuity and craftsmanship. Students from all seven departments actively participated, setting up booths to showcase and sell handmade items, each stall representing their unique skills and creativity. The event offered more than just a marketplace; it became a dynamic, real-world learning experience where students practiced entrepreneurship, marketing, and business management in a hands-on setting.

The Sales Day was not only a commercial success but also a powerful educational experience. It fostered collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit, empowering students to take ownership of their creative potential while connecting with peers across departments. With its overwhelming success, the Sales Day at MGM College has left a lasting impact, shaping the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs, stated Dr.R.K.Behera.
