Minister Kaito Aye holds coordination meeting in Satakha, urges stakeholders to improve image of sub-division

Zunheboto: Minister appeals to initiate effective policies to increase number of enrolments in schools in sub-division

The Minister for PWD (R&B) G Kaito Aye held a coordination meeting on Wednesday at Town Hall, Satakha, with all the head of departments and participated by GBs association, STH, SRSU, SASCA and various other NGOs, DIPR informed.

The Minister, addressing the HoDs, urged them to be prepared to respond with various details on the activities going on through their respective departments in the future coordination meetings. He further stressed upon them to highlight on their grievances or difficulties faced by the department. He added that, his main motive was not to put the HoDs under the radar but to give back to the citizens by working together in coordination and to make Satakha a properly developed sub division.

Kaito Aye further hoped that the meeting works as, active officers, a rejuvenating device to work for betterment of the citizens. The Minister further said he and the people of Satakha should be grateful to both the state and central Government for the upcoming highways at the proximity of the sub division and added the developmental activities of various kinds would be possible only if the citizens cooperate by giving away all the minor and major hindrances as and when required.

Later while talking to the student bodies and GBs, he pressed his concern on the less enrolment (less than 2000) of students in the Government School numbering to 40 schools, including private school at Satakha sub divisions and made an appeal to initiate up effective policies to increase the number of enrolments. Consequent of less enrolments the sub division could face a decline in the number of schools, he added.

The Minister assured that he would eagerly convey his sincere concern and positive responses to the higher concerned for development of the department and the schools under them. Kaito also touched the issues of basic problems faced by citizens like the water, power etc… by saying that, with the increase and expansion of the sub division, the basic needs simultaneously increase and need to be addressed accordingly. He concluded by saying that, all these issues should be addressed collectively with active participation of departments, student bodies and all NGOs to improve the image of the sub division.

Earlier, the meeting began with chairperson, ADC Satakha, M.S Thangpong, welcoming the minister for his presence and the gathering. The meeting proceeded with invocation from president SASCA, Kahuto Zhimomi and later culminated with a fruitful interaction where government schools, NGOs, administration officers spoke on the issues they were undergoing and means to tackle the concerns.

ADC, in his concluding remarks informed that, coordination meeting will be held regularly and urged all concerned to respond positively.
