Minister P Bashangmongba presides over Tuensang DPDB meeting

The Tuensang District Planning & Development Board held its monthly meeting on July 18 at DC’s Conference Hall, Tuensang under the Chairmanship of Minister for House and Mechanical Engineer and Chairman DPDB Tuensang, P. Bashangmongba Chang.

After reviewing last month’s meeting minutes, the Board discussed the agenda submitted by NY Choba, President Chang Khulei Setshang, regarding the road conditions of BRO Road connecting Tuensang – Mon, which was under deteriorated conditions without any maintenance for the past many years.

After a brief deliberation, the board decided to forward the matter to the concerned Department. The board also passed LADP and Iconic Schemes for 51 Noksen A/C, 53 Tuensang Sadar -I A/C, and 54 Tuensang Sadar -II A/C.

Earlier, the DPDB held a Felicitation and Presentation of Meritorious Award program to the 6 HSLC Toppers from Tuensang district.

Speaking at the program, Minister for Housing and Mechanical Engineer, P Bashangmongba Chang extended his sincere gratitude to the Principal and Teaching staff of St. John Higher Secondary School, Holy Angel School, and Eklavya Model School for guidance and support to the students throughout their journey. The tireless efforts of the students and teachers have brought laurels to the district, he added.

Exhorting the students, the Minister said, “Behind every high achievement is a story of hard work and perseverance. Be an author of your success”. A student will face many challenges and temptations, but their determination and hard work will overcome every obstacle and achieve higher in their career, he added.

Asserting that students are easily influenced by alcohol and drug abuse, the Minister said it is a matter of serious concern. He also urged the student to be humble before God and asked for His guidance for their success in the future.
