The foundation stone of District Hospital Noklak was unveiled by S Pangnyu, minister of Health and Family Welfare in the presence of H Haiying, advisor of Prisons, Printing, and Stationery on 5 January.

The District Hospital is an upgradation of Noklak Community Health Center (CHC).

Pangnyu, in his speech, stated that the unity of the people of Noklak has resulted in developmental work that is fast spreading. He further lauded advisor Haiying for his good leadership. He also thanked the land donors for their contribution and urged them to avoid disturbances while developing the district hospital.

Earlier, he was received by Noklak BJP Mandal President and his team along with Mahila President and her members.

Advisor Haiying, in his speech, thanked the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and the medical department under the leadership of Pangnyu for the concern shown towards the district.

The advisor also urged the Noklak citizens to take responsibilities for the wellbeing of the district.

The deputy commissioner of Noklak, Mhathung Tsanglao, in his welcome address pointed out the challenges of the shortage of doctors faced by the District Hospital despite Noklak being recognised as a new district.

The DC acknowledged Pangnyu’s presence at the function and urged him to show prior interest towards the district.

TPRO president and KTC vice president also delivered short speeches on the development of the district hospital.

Minister Pangnyu concluded the event with a visitation to the sick people at the hospital.
