Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Tourism and Higher Education today inaugurated The Mirage Kohima, hotel and restaurant situated at Razhü Point in Kohima opposite Axis Bank.
In his address, the Minister commended the name “The Mirage,” noting its apt reflection of the distinctive and unforgettable experience the hotel promises. He urged the team to uphold excellence in hospitality through consistency, commitment, and teamwork.
Emphasizing the importance of entrepreneurship in Nagaland, Along highlighted resilience, dedication, and treating guests as friends as key to success. He also called for stronger collaboration among stakeholders, mutual respect, and perseverance in overcoming challenges.
Thejangulie Tsükrü, Partner of The Mirage Group, chaired the event and acknowledged the collective effort behind the project. He expressed gratitude to the four founding partners and numerous contributors who helped turn their vision into reality.

Tsükrü shared that The Mirage Hotel currently employs 28 individuals, with 90 percent being local hires—aligning with its mission to boost employment. The team underwent professional training to deliver high service standards, aiming to set a new benchmark in regional hospitality that rivals metro cities, informed Tsükrü.
He added that The Mirage is more than just a hotel; it symbolizes collaboration, perseverance, and faith in Nagaland’s potential.
The event began with an invocation by Kezhaletuo Yano, Associate Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church, Kohima.
