In a dedicated endeavour to ensure utmost transparency and precision in disbursing scholarships encompassed within various scholarship schemes offered by the Government of India’s Ministry of Minority Affairs for the academic year 2022-23, a comprehensive verification protocol has been set into motion. In this ambitious pursuit, the Ministry has entered into a strategic collaboration with the esteemed National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER). The collaborative synergy aims to orchestrate meticulous physical verification procedures, targeting both institutes and beneficiaries. This proactive verification procedure stands as a steadfast response to rectify any discrepancies that might arise in the context of institute and beneficiary authenticity, DIPR stated.

The outcome of this verification process has been instrumental in shaping the Government’s decision to embark on a re-validation mission. This mission entails a meticulous scrutiny of application data, alongside the verification of pivotal details pertaining to Institute Nodal Officers, Heads of Institutes, and applicants. To realize this mission, a distinctive approach has been adopted – one centered around Aadhar-based biometric authentication.

As a proactive measure to expedite the scholarship disbursal process, applicants are earnestly advised to ensure the Aadhaar number provided stands seamlessly linked to their respective bank accounts. This synchronization is crucial since the scholarship disbursement shall be routed exclusively through the Aadhaar Based Payment System.

To streamline this comprehensive process, all stakeholders are summoned to heed the guidelines and instructions disseminated via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) portal. The crucial deadline of August 10, 2023, looms large as a pertinent date for all involved parties – encompassing Head of Institutes, Institute Nodal Officers, and applicants – to ensure the Aadhaar details within the NSP portal remain meticulously updated. This synchronization is integral for the seamless authentication process anchored in Aadhaar-based mechanisms.

Directives have been issued to the Head of Institutes and Institute Nodal Officers enrolled within the National Scholarship Portal for the Post-Matric & Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship schemes. These directives underscore the urgency of coordinating with District Nodal Officers, firmly ensconced within the ambit of the District Education Office (DEO). An integral facet of this directive pertains to the immediate authentication of biometric data. This authentication stands as an indispensable prerequisite for the application verification process at the institute level. Institutes are further advised to ensure the biometric authentication of their beneficiaries in alignment with the stipulated scholarship scheme, thereby exemplifying a cohesive commitment.

Additionally, beneficiaries of the PMS & MCM scheme, pursuing education beyond the boundaries of their home state, are directed to engage with their respective institutions to facilitate the enrollment of their biometric data.

Institutes are further recommended to maintain vigilant engagement with both the National Scholarship Portal and the domain dtenagaland.org.in for any forthcoming updates. For any requisite assistance, inquiries can be promptly directed to dtenagaland@gmail.com – a dedicated avenue for resolving queries and concerns.
