A minor explosion was reported in Manipur’s capital on Saturday morning at the venue where Sunny Leone is expected to be the show-stopper at a fashion show to be held on Sunday.

According to sources, there has been no casualties as a result of the blast that occurred around 6:06 am on the grounds of Hapta Kangjeibung in Imphal east, one of the world’s oldest polo grounds.

Not much is known about what or who caused the explosion or the possible motive behind it, if any. Investigation is underway.

Leone had recently confirmed that she will be visiting the openly conservative state in the Northeast for a fashion show and also to promote Manipur tourism and a brand called ‘Handloom and Khadi’.
