The Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN) has on Thursday announced that Miss Nagaland Universe 2025 auditions will be held from May 17 at Westside, Ara Mile, Dimapur. There will be a spot registration from 10 am and registration fee for the audition will be Rs.1000. However, aspirants coming through the District Partners will be sponsored by the society.
Informing this at a press conference at Symphony Cafe Kohima, BASN president Mele Pucho said the main Miss Universe Nagaland Pageant is set to be organized in Kohima on June 11 at RCEMPA through which the winning contestant will be representing the state in Miss Universe National Pageant. He said the organisation started Miss Universe Nagaland auditions since 2024, where Ruopfuzhano Whiso was selected and she represented Nagaland in the Miss Universe India pageant and won the fourth runners-up title.
Pucho informed that the reason for holding an official Miss Universe Nagaland pageant is due to the growing interest in pageantry and increasing number of young aspirants. Additionally, Pucho highlighted that over the last few years, Nagaland has done very well in regard to beauty pageants and that there is a lot of scope in this field. Pucho highlighted that the current Miss Universe India, Rhea Singha will be coming to the Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 finale as one of the guest judges on June 11.

Meanwhile, BASN press and information secretary Sarah Konyak informed that the department of Tourism is one of the official partners for Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 while Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) will be the official venue partner for the main pageant.
BASN also thanked the Glamanand Entertainment Private Limited Chairman, Nikhil Anand for appointing BASN president Pucho as the state director for Nagaland and also for giving Nagaland and the northeast the opportunity .
Giving out the details for criteria to participate and audition in the Miss Universe Nagaland pageant, Konyak highlighted that the dress code should be denim shorts with white tank top, black cocktail dress (bodycon, above the knee), stilettos (no block heels) and basic hair and makeup is mandatory. All the participating candidates should be 18 years and above.
Supplementing to this, Pucho stated that there will be no height criteria, and the Miss Nagaland Universe is open to everyone where freshers, those who have already won titles, and married women can also apply.
The BASN has appealed and called upon potential candidates from the state not to miss the opportunity.
