The Miss Wokha beauty pageant would be held on November 15, 2025, after a gap of eight years. The event is being organised by the Lotha Eloe Hoho in collaboration with the Glamorous Event Management Team.

President of Lotha Eloe Hoho, Thungbeni Ngullie, informed that the contest is aimed at providing a platform for young women to showcase their skills, knowledge and talents beyond physical beauty. She said the event would also highlight culture, values and positive changes in society.

The last Miss Wokha was held in 2017, organised by the Renchen Women Welfare Society, when Grace Ezung was crowned and continues to be the reigning title holder. Since then, no organisation had taken up the pageant due to financial and logistical challenges. This year, the Glamorous Event Management Team approached the Hoho to organise the event together.

Event Director, Thungbeni Kikon, stated that the pageant is open to unmarried indigenous Lotha women between the ages of 18 to 25 years, with a minimum height of 5’3” (160 cm). Auditions would be held on September 20 from 10 a.m. onwards in three locations – Zumba Fitness Centre, Tsumang (opposite DC Office) in Wokha with the support of Lotha Students’ Union; Lotha Hoho Ki in Kohima with the support of Kohima Lotha Students’ Union; and Dimapur, with the date to be announced soon in collaboration with Dimapur Lotha Students’ Union.

The organisers informed that the winner of Miss Wokha 2025 would secure a direct entry to Miss Nagaland, in partnership with the Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN), the main event partner. Other collaborators include YithenYi as media partner along with supporting organisations.

The programme would begin with an orientation on October 1, followed by a photoshoot on October 2. A consultative meeting with the Hoho, participants and sponsors would be held on October 18, while an online awareness session would be conducted on October 25 for participants outside Wokha. Grooming sessions will begin on November 8, which will also include free blood grouping, fitness training and fellowship among participants. During the fellowship, contestants will share personal testimonies and experiences to encourage one another.

Along with the main crown, subtitles such as Miss Talented, Best Ethnic Wear, Miss Popular, Best Congeniality and Best Catwalk will also be awarded. The organisers have also extended invitations for sponsorship and urged aspiring contestants to attend the auditions.
