The monthly Kiphire District Planning & Development Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of MLA and Chairman DPDB, C. Kipili Sangtam, at the DC’s conference hall, Kiphire on Friday.

Briefing the members, the Chairman reminded the heads of offices for strict attendance. He informed that the agenda/proposals should be submitted through the concerned department HODs with proper reports.

According to a report from DIPR, the members discussed on the proposal for setting up of De- Addiction Rehabilitation Centre at Kiphire, representation for Land Owner Right at PHC Longya which has been differed to the next meeting due to absence of the applicant. New agendas approved during the meeting included – maintenance of road (metaling and black topping) at various location in Kiphire town area, establishment of police outposts in Kiusam and Mimi Circle, creation of SDPO post for Pungro Sub-Division, addition of personnel of Police department Kiphire, construction of Community hall under Ministry of Tribal Affairs at New Risethsi, and creation of Sub-District Industries Centre at Seyochung. In regard to creation of Forest Ranger’s office at Seyochung and Pungro, the concerned department has been directed to put up the proposal.

The house also welcomed the following new heads of offices during the meeting: Holongba Sangtam S.S, NST Kiphire, Chikuotho Nyusuo, GM DIC Kiphire and Enibemo Shitio, SDEO Seyochung. Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Wati Aier, NCS delivered the welcome note.
