Free textbooks were handed out to Class 11 students during a brief program held on Tuesday at Government Higher Secondary School, Tening, Peren district. The textbooks were sponsored by MLA Namri Nchang.

In the program, president, Liangmai Council, Khenglu congratulated and encouraged the students to excel in their studies stating that students are tomorrow’s future. He also acknowledged the MLA for his endless contributions towards the community particularly for the cause of education in the area.

Hunglungphung blessed the textbooks and later the same were distributed to all the class 11 students.

Chamdin H Meriam acknowledged the MLA Namri Nchang for his generous gesture towards the schools and the students and also thanked the civil society organisations, Gaon Buras and senior leaders from various fields within Tening town for their kind presence and initiatives in successful inception of the secondary.
