Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly Wangpang Konyak has taken oath as Advisor to Government of Nagaland. The oath was administered by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.

Announcing the development on Wednesday on the micro blogging platform X, Wangpang Konyak expressed heartfelt thanks to CM Rio, NDPP President Chingwang Konyak and the public of his constituency, 43 Tapi AC, for the opportunity to serve the State.

The notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat (Cabinet Cell) stated that appointment will be effective immediately and that this arrangement would help utilize the vast and practical experience of MLA Wangpang Konyak for the benefit of public at large.

Regarding the roles, the Cabinet Secretariat informed, “The Advisor will render their advice on matters that are referred to them by the concerned departments for their views/suggestions before the issue is put up to the concerned Minister in charge for decision.”
