MMWTC conducts training on basic first aid and fire safety

The Modern Mechanical Workshop cum Training Centre (MMWTC) of the PWD Mechanical Department conducted an intensive training on Basic First Aid and Fire Safety at Shokhüvi, Chümoukedima on November 12, aimed at enhancing the safety awareness and emergency response skills of its trainees.

The comprehensive training session was led by Inspector Maongkaba along with a team of skilled trainers from the Central Training Institute of Home Guards, Civil Defence & State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Dimapur, Nagaland.

The programme was designed specifically for Heavy Machinery Operators and Mechanics undergoing training at MMWTC. It was funded by the Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM), focusing on equipping participants with essential knowledge and practical skills to handle emergencies effectively.

Highlighting the importance of the initiative, the PWD Mechanical Department emphasized that the training reflects the commitment of MMWTC and NSEDM to foster a safe, skilled, and well-prepared workforce. The session not only imparted technical and safety skills but also promoted a culture of alertness and preparedness among trainees.
