The 3rd State Level Student Nurses’ Association of India (SNAI) Meet, held from August 22nd to 23rd, concluded triumphantly at Impur in Mokokchung District. The event, themed “Empowering Nursing Students: Prospects and Challenges,” was hosted by the School of Nursing at Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital Mokokchung (IMDH).
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. S Marina Yaden, Medical Superintendent of IMDH. A special prayer for the nursing community was offered by ABAM Executive Secretary Rev Dr. Mar Pongener, marking the solemn beginning of the event.

Vice Principal and Student Nurses’ Association Advisor of the School of Nursing IMDH, Temsusenla Aier, who also served as the convener of the meet, highlighted the significance of the gathering. She emphasized that this platform enabled student nurses to assemble and share academic knowledge, as well as engage in various non-academic activities. The primary objective of the event was to elevate the capabilities of nursing personnel, fostering healthy competition and skill enhancement.
Over the course of the two-day meet, a diverse range of competitions, spanning both academic and non-academic spheres, took place. Vice Principal and SNA Advisor Temsusenla Aier, informed that the winners from these competitions will represent the state in the upcoming SNAI National Level meet, scheduled to be held later this year.
The valedictory programme witnessed the introduction of a prestigious running trophy by the School of Nursing IMDH. Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research (CIHSR) emerged as the champions of the 3rd State Level SNAI Meet, securing their victory through outstanding performances in various competitions.
With participation from more than 320 delegates, including students from ANM, GNM, and B.Sc Nursing programs representing nine institutions across Nagaland, the two-day event was a resounding success. As the 3rd State Level Meet concluded, plans were announced for the 4th State Level Student’s Nurse Association of India Meet in 2025, scheduled to be held in Dimapur.
