The Mokokchung Athletics, in collaboration with Nagaland Athletics, will be celebrating the National Javelin Day by organising a javelin throwing competition at the Imkongmenren Sports

The National Javelin Day is celebrated on 7th August 2024 to commemorate India’s first Olympics Gold Medal in Athletics that was won by Neeraj Chopra in 2020.

The Mokokchung Athletics has informed that the competitions will be held for both boys and girls in the U-14 and U-12 categories. The best throwers will be awarded prizes and also the sport’s equipment.

Those interested in participating in the event will have to submit a copy of the Aadhaar Card and or the Birth Certificate. The Registration Fee will be Rs 100.
