The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) in Mokokchung, under the Department of Social Welfare, Nagaland Government, has observed the National Adoption Awareness month. On November 17, the DCPU visited the Paediatric Department of Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital, Mokokchung and presented sweets and nourishing food items to the young patients at the hospital.
According to DCPU, the act aligned with the spirit of National Adoption Awareness month, coinciding with the ongoing Child Rights Weeks observed annually from November 14 to 20. The theme for this year’s Child Rights Weeks is “Adoption of Older Children.”
